I can watch iPlayer on my TV and have subtitles running, but when I change over to watch on Apple TV the subtitles have gone. Changing the Accessibility settings make no difference. As far as I know the BBC won't support subtitles on the iPlayer on Apple TV. Not sure why as they do so for the iPhone and other iOS devices, so support for Apple TV should have been trivial.
